This year's edition includes more than 700 companies
The SIL Barcelona focuses on digitalisation and sustainability
From 26th to 28th June, the Montjuïc venue of Fira de Barcelona will host the 21st edition of SIL, the leading logistics, transport and supply chain trade show in Southern Europe. The number of companies participating in this edition has increased by 10%, with more than 700 businesses from 43 countries, and it focuses on the sector’s commitment to sustainability and digitalisation.
The fair aims to address challenges facing the logistics industry such as sustainability, respect for the environment and digital transformation with the application of new technologies. It will also highlight the growing economic and social impact of the sector, which represents 8% of Spain’s GDP.
Organised by the Zona Franca Consorci (Free Trade Zone Consortium), it will present 150 of the latest global innovations; it will include 180 private company events and expects visitors from 68 countries to attend. Located in Hall 8 of the Montjuïc venue, the show will also include an extensive conference programme and networking with the participation of international experts.
The SIL exhibition coincides with the 3rd edition of eDelivery, a trade fair dedicated to e-commerce logistics, which this year will deal with aspects such as mobility and the environment and invite speakers who will present success stories and the latest innovations in large companies. It is also held in conjunction with the World Free Trade Zone Congress.
