An ocean of new products and experiences at the Boat Show

The Barcelona International Boat Show is back from 14 to 18 October in Port Vell, with the biggest and most varied commercial showcase of sport and recreational sailing in Spain in its floating and land-based exhibition areas. It also features an extensive programme of activities for professionals and enthusiasts alike.
Visitors will find motorboats and sailboats of different sizes alongside all kinds of nautical products and services. The show will be presenting 80 brand new models among the 670+ boats on display as well as 50 new electronic accessories and state-of-the-art engines.
To encourage people to take up the sport, the show organized by Fira de Barcelona is rewarding buyers with a free course to obtain a sailing licence. The show is also hosting numerous activities such as Nautical Night with tasting sessions, live music, fashion shows, parties on exhibitors’ stands and the ‘Swimnight & Kayak’ event, an unprecedented night-time crossing of Port Vell by kayak and swimming.
There will also be the usual sessions of dinghy-sailing for beginners, canoeing, kayaking, jet-skiing and paddle-surfing; the exhibition of classic boats; the wave pool for surfing; and the conferences on the marine environment and navigation, including presentations on Rorcual whales off the Garraf coast and on fishing tourism in Barcelona.
In the professional sphere, the show is hosting a full programme of seminars, such as the first Market Place of Nautical Tourism in Spain, which turns over more than 2,500 million euros in Spain, and the debate on the international nautical market organized by the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN).
